Top Armenian UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan explained why he doesn’t see the point in a fight with the former interim division champion Dustin Poirier.
“Gaethje and Poirier are trying to get a fight with a striker from the top five of the rating. They never fight anyone in the top 10 or top 15, you know? Honestly, I don’t want to fight Dustin because he lost his last fight. This doesn't make sense. If I beat him, people will just say, 'Oh, Poirier just lost his last fight.'
Dustin is a legend. I respect him. He is a great fighter and won the interim title. He's defeated a lot of tough opponents and he's a very good fighter. Watching his fights is always interesting. However, at the moment there’s simply no point in fighting him,” Poirier said on The MMA Hour.
Let us remind you that last weekend Tsarukyan knocked out Beneil Dariush in the first round.
