Benavidez confidently dealt with Andrade

In the main event of the boxing evening in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA), the interim WBC champion in the second middle weight category David Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs) won an early victory over the former title holder in two divisions Demetrius Andrade (32-1, 19 KOs).

Benavidez grabbed the advantage early in the fight and tried to catch his opponent with a single hit, while Andrade countered with multi-punch combinations. In the fourth round, David managed to score a knockdown, after which the fight became one-sided.

The “Mexican monster” increased its pressure in the next three minutes and destroyed Andrade with blows on all floors - after the sixth round, the underdog refused to continue the battle.

Thus, Benavidez defended his belt and retained his position as the official contender for the fight with the undisputed champion of the division, Saul Alvarez.
