Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall became the latest mixed-style fighter who announced his desire to try his hand at the boxing ring.
“A boxing fight? Let's do that. I will definitely box if UFC will give green light. This is a great idea, I really like it. I will do it.
I want to stay active. I was out of work for a year due to a knee injury. I came back and I've been looking pretty good ever since. Let's continue in the same spirit. I don't want to sit around and wait for Jon Jones. Who knows if he'll come back or not? I will fight another contender or compete in boxing. It’s a great idea,” Aspinall said in an interview with the Fight Disciples YouTube channel.
