Former Bellator lightweight champion Brent Primus commented with irony on the news that the current holder of the belt Usman Nurmagomedov passed a positive doping test and will be disqualified for six months.
“I simply cannot believe that a young undefeated fighter from such a camp would cheat and use a banned substance,” Primus wrote in X.
Let us remind you that on October 7 at the Bellator 300 tournament, Nurmagomedov defeated Primus by unanimous decision in the semifinals of the promotion’s Grand Prix. Due to the Russian's failed doping test, the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) decided to change the result - the fight was declared invalid.
