Prograis: 'I'm going to knock out Haney'

WBC junior welterweight champion Regis Prograis (29-1, 24 KOs) feels confident a month before his title defense against the former absolute lightweight champion Devina Haney (30-0-0, 15 KOs), which will take place on December 9 in San Francisco.

“He’s never fought anyone of my level. I don't care if he works with Freddie Roach or not. Freddie Roach doesn't matter. Yes, Haney looks bigger, but he doesn't hit hard. The other day he posted a video of working with a bag. You can see his muscles, but he still has soft kicks. So it doesn't matter. He can gain weight as much as he likes, but that doesn’t make him hit harder.

I'm going to knock out Haney. I feel like I'm going to knock him out. People say Devin is a good defender, but he is not a master of defense. He misses a lot of powerful shots. Loma, Linares, Diaz got Haney, but all these guys are smaller than him,” Prograis said.
