Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (53-6-1, 34 KOs) at one point followed in the footsteps of his great, legendary father, and in 2011-12 he was even world middleweight champion, but today he is only a shadow of his former self as a fighter , and worst of all, as a person. It is no secret that the descendant of the “Emperor” struggled with problems with alcohol and drugs. Sometimes he won this fight, sometimes he lost, but now he seems to be in a heavy knockdown.

On October 24, Chavez Jr.'s 37-year-old wife, Frida Chavez, contacted the police asking for help. She was concerned about her husband's condition, as he had taken a large number of strong drugs. She also sought medical help. In accordance with the law, doctors forced the former champion to undergo 72 hours of observation in a psychiatric hospital.

“I feel sorry for my son. He has small children and he can’t enjoy it at all. “I’m afraid he’s going to go crazy or have a heart attack because of all the pills he’s taking,” Chavez Sr. said.
