Chamberlain became champion of Great Britain and the British Commonwealth

Isaac Chamberlain (16-2, 8 KOs) achieved the greatest success of his career and became one of the best in the world in the cruiserweight category. The boxer from London has so far lost only to the former and current WBO champion in the 90.7 kilogram limit - Okolie and Billam-Smith. Today Chamberlain won the British and British Commonwealth titles at the expense of the previously unbeaten Mikael Laval (17-1, 11 KOs).

The start seemed to paralyze the reigning champion. In the first four rounds he did virtually nothing, focusing only on tight defense. Over time, he became increasingly bolder, even surprising his opponent several times, but when Chamberlain missed punches, he immediately increased the pace and tried to fight back. In the last, twelfth round, Laval decisively moved towards the goal, but the finish was too late.

After the final bell, the judges gave the victory to Chamberlain - 119-111 and twice 118-111.
