Former undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight against the WBC title holder in the first welterweight division Regis Prograiswhich will pass December 9 in San Francisco.
“Gonna beat the crap out of him. I am grateful that I will fight for the title, and this is my dream. This is a huge fight for boxing and a big opportunity for me because I have always dreamed of becoming a two-weight world champion.
I'm happy that I can hold on to my titles, but I'm also happy that I can challenge Regis, who is the best in the junior welterweight division. But I will show that I am on another level, that I am the best. I'm delighted with this. I think the fight will end with fireworks. I’m much better than Prograis,” Haney said at a press conference.
