Wilder's coach: "I'm sure that in four weeks we will call Usik the favorite to fight Fury"

Malik Scott, trainer of the former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs), shared his thoughts on the fight between the WBA, WBO and IBF champion in this division Alexander Usik (21-0, 14 KOs) and WBC title holder Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KO).

“At one point I thought this fight was 50-50, but now I prefer Fury - 70-30. Considering how Usyk looked in the fight against Dubois, I wasn’t particularly impressed with his performance.

Alexander showed himself well. I know what he is capable of. I liked Usyk, who fought Anthony Joshua twice. He needs fights like these with equal chances. Right now we prefer Fury. But “I’m confident that in four weeks we’ll call Usyk the favourite,” Scott said.

The fight between Usik and Fury is expected to take place on December 23 or January in Saudi Arabia.
