Shakur Stevenson stated that he is still not against a fight with Vasily Lomachenko. When asked if he wanted to meet with the Ukrainian, the American answered the following: “I want to. I don’t understand why not. I think it would be an amazing fight. I would beat the crap out of him.”

Shakur also explained why he disrespected Devin Haney and Frank Martin and not Vasiliy Lomachenko: “They are two different situations. Haney did something stupid, it's a very long story. Frank spoke out about my situation [with Haney]. He talked about something that had absolutely nothing to do with him. As soon as he did that, I realized it was disrespectful, so now I don’t respect him.”
