Hearn on Haney: “He’s an incredible talent, he just beat Lomachenko”

Well-known British promoter Eddie Hearn reacted to the announcement of a fight between the WBC world champion in the first welterweight division Regis Prograis (29-1, 24 KOs) and Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs).

“This is a brilliant fight. The response to his announcement was fantastic. As I already said, this is part of our ambitious schedule for December. Haney has a million followers on Instagram and just beat Lomachenko. It was hand-to-hand combat. He gained two victories over Kambosos in Australia to become the undisputed champion. So this guy has fantastic talent. Big personality and big name.

We will be taking him home to San Francisco for the first time. There haven't been major battles there for a long time. I think there will be a great crowd there. It’s a very tough fight for both guys,” Hearn was quoted as saying by Boxing News 24/7.
