According to unofficial information, in December Gennady Golovkin (42-2-1, 37 KOs) will have his farewell fight. GGG's final professional performance will take place in Kazakhstan.
At the beginning of the year, Golovkin left the WBA and IBF world titles vacant because he did not want to box against the mandatory challengers imposed on him by the organizations. In the spring, Golovkin planned to fight with Jaime Munguia, but the parties did not reach an agreement on financial issues.
Golovkin has not boxed since his points loss to Saul Alvarez last year. After this performance, the boxer ended his contract with DAZN and his collaboration with Matchroom Boxing.
