Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) may have his next fight on December 21 in the UK. Such a scenario is possible if the fight with Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs), scheduled for January, will be rescheduled.

In his last professional performance, Joshua won ahead of schedule against Robert Helenius, in whose body banned doping substances were later found. This year, the Briton also defeated Jermain Franklin on points. Wilder did not box this year, but announced his return to the ring in October.

The Joshua-Wilder fight could have taken place in Saudi Arabia. The financial terms of this fight have already been determined, but the date has not yet been confirmed.
