At Miguel Berchelt (38-3, 34 KOs) there have already been successful defenses of the champion title and attempts to move up to lightweight, but in his last two fights he suffered two early defeats.

In his next fight in the pro ring, the former champion will perform in his hometown of Merida. The evening of boxing is scheduled for October 14th. Berchelt will box in the main event of the evening, although the name of his opponent is still unknown. However, there is information that, despite an unsuccessful debut in lightweight, he will remain in the weight limit up to 61.2 kilograms and will no longer go down to the second featherweight.

Berchelt will be supported by Angel Ayala Lardizabal and Felix Alvarado, who will hold a qualifying bout for the IBF flyweight belt.
