Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) will fight the WBC world champion in super lightweight Regis Prograis (29-1, 24 KOs) November 11 in the USA. The fight was previously scheduled for the last Saturday in October. Recently, the sports media reported that negotiations for this fight had reached an impasse. Eddie Hearn acknowledges that the negotiations are difficult, but remains optimistic.
Haney has not yet decided whether he will permanently move to the 63.5 kg category and leave his four lightweight championship belts vacant. The American lost only the WBC belt, where he received the status of an honorary champion.
Haney vs Prograis will take place at the Matchroom Boxing tournament. Recently, Haney has been involved with Top Rank, and Prograis recently signed with Hearn.
