Froch: Dubois could be the future of boxing

Former super middleweight world champion and now expert Carl Froch supported his compatriot Daniel Dubois after a crushing defeat from the holder of the WBA, WBO and IBF titles in the Ukrainian heavyweight division Oleksandr Usyk.

ā€œI think Dubois can be the future of boxing. There are few such representatives in the heavyweight division. Even Joyce, who defeated him, is already well over 30.

I don't think a rematch with Joyce is a smart move from Dubois. I would like to see him in some strong fights so that he gains confidence again. He will be able to come back, I really believe in it,ā€ Froch said in a talkSPORT interview.

The duel between Usyk and Dubois took place on August 26 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian won by technical knockout in the ninth round.
