Hrgovic: 'I don't understand why sanctioning bodies let Fury fight Ngannou'

Mandatory contender for IBF heavyweight title Filip Hrgovic commented on the upcoming fight between the WBC champion Tyson Fury and mixed martial arts star Francis Ngannou, which will be held on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.

“Fury is fighting some MMA guy who has never boxed before. This is madness. I don't understand why the sanctioning authorities allow him to do this. This is disrespectful to boxing, fans and other fighters.

This should be stopped. From what I can see, Fury is no longer interested in boxing. He can freeze the division. The sanctioning bodies must do their job. They should impose mandatory conditions. That's all," Hrgovic said.
