Jack Catterall (27-1, 13 KOs) recently signed a contract with Matchroom Boxing and confidently defeated Darr Foley at the end of May. Now the former contender for the world super lightweight title will headline the evening of boxing in Liverpool on October 21, where he will hold a 12-round bout.
In the opposite corner of the ring there will be a veteran Jorge Linares (47-8, 29 KOs). The Venezuelan boxer is a former world featherweight, super featherweight and lightweight champion. However, he is on a three straight loss streak and it will be hard for him to break that streak against Catterall.
"I'm returning to the UK and I'm ready to give my opponent a boxing lesson," promises Linares.
“In the past, I watched his fights in the UK, and it’s a great honor for me to share the ring with him. For various reasons, for both of us it is a matter of to be or not to be, ”said Catterall.
