Absolute World Lightweight Champion Devin Haney confirmed that the next fight will be against the holder of the WBC light welterweight title Regis Prograis.
āAt the moment I am a free agent. Everything came together for me to become a world champion in two weight categories in a fight against, presumably, the first number of the light welterweight. I will show my skills and be stronger. At camp, I won't have to focus on weight. I will be comfortable and I will give 100%.
I am such a fighter that I want to fight the best. I want to prove myself again and again. In the last fight, I fought a future Hall of Famer, and now I will fight another champion. It will be good for boxing. God willing, I can keep the lightweight titles, fight in the first welterweight, and then come back and defend the title of the absolute champion, āsaid Haney in an interview with FightHype.
Recall that the fight between Haney and Prograis will take place on October 28 in Las Vegas.
