October 28 in Las Vegas Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) will meet with the WBC world champion in super lightweight Regis Prograis (29-1, 24 KOs). This was reported by ESPN correspondent Mike Coppinger.
Haney has not yet decided whether he will permanently move to the 63.5 kg weight category and leave his four lightweight championship belts vacant. The American has yet to receive permission from the WBC to settle the fight with Prograis.
The Haney-Prograis fight may take place at the Matchroom Boxing tournament. Recently, Haney has been involved with promotional organization Top Rank, and Prograis recently signed Eddie Hearn.
