Mauricio Suleiman once again confirmed that, despite a long inactivity, the WBC world middleweight champion Jermall Charlo (32-0, 22 KOs) will not lose his title. The American has not entered the ring for two years.
Recently, Charlo was named as a candidate for a meeting with Saul Alvarez, but eventually broke off negotiations on this issue, as he did not consider himself ready for such a big sports challenge after a long break outside the ring and recent personal problems.
It is not yet known when the American boxer will return to the ring. It is possible that at the end of the year Charlo will cross gloves with the former world champion in two weight categories Demetrius Andreid.
The interim WBC middleweight champion is Carlos Adams, but his fight with Charlo is not yet scheduled. The boxer from the Dominican Republic boxed for the last time in June.
