Former super middleweight world champion Gilberto Ramirez (44-1, 30 KOs) is preparing to return to the ring in the first heavyweight division. The next professional duel of the Mexican should take place in the fall.

The last time Zurdo boxed was in November, losing on points to Dmitry Bivol in a fight for the WBA light heavyweight belt. In March, Ramirez was supposed to meet with Gabriel Rosado, but the fight was canceled due to the superiority of the fighter from Mexico, who could not fit into the weight category up to 79 kg.

“The time has come for the first heavy weight. I think I should meet with Badu Jack. The fans would love to see a fight like this,” Ramirez said.
