Falcao lost to Gualtieri

Middleweight Vincenzo Gualtieri (21-0-1, 7 KOs) in his native Wuppertal, Germany, defeated the Brazilian Olympic silver medalist Esquive Falcao (30-1, 20 KOs) and won the vacant IBF middleweight title previously held by Gennady "GGG" Golovkin. The score of judges' notes is 117-109 and twice 116-110.

Gualtieri began to set the tone for the fight from the start and sent Falcao to the floor in the second round. He shocked Falcao again in the fifth round, but he managed to stay on his feet. In the seventh round, Falcao received a low blow and fell to the floor of the ring, where the referee began to count him out, but then stopped and gave Falcao the prescribed 5 minutes to recover. In the tenth round, Gualtieri scored another knockdown. After Gualtieri just boxed to the final gong.
