Former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo said that the disappointing MRI results of his right shoulder confirmed the impossibility of his participation in the UFC 292 tournament, which will be held on August 19 in Boston.

The rival of the American veteran was supposed to be the representative of Ecuador, Marlon Vera.

“I did an MRI on my right shoulder, which showed a tear that required six to eight weeks of rehabilitation. Nothing changes in my future goals. I want my title back. When I recover 100 percent, you will see me again in the octagon. But until then, I need to be treated. I hope the UFC can find a replacement to fight Chito so he can stay on the card,” Cejudo wrote on social media.

Recall that UFC 292 will headline the bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Sean O'Malley.
