Spence and Crawford hold first press conference

Errol Spence Jr. (28-0, 22 KOs) and Terence Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs) exuded confidence during the debut press conference in Los Angeles, where the fight for four welterweight belts was officially announced.

“There was the era of Sugar Ray Robinson, there was the era of Marvin Huggler, there was the era of Tommy Hearns, there was the era of Floyd Mayweather, and now you know it's the era of Terence Crawford. He calls himself a big fish, but you will see what happens when I pull this fish out of the water! I will win the title of absolute champion in two weight categories and become the best boxer of this era!” — promised Crawford, who will lead to the ring with the WBO title.

"Never! You have not fought with any strong opponent, you have not defeated any serious opponent. The absolute championship at 140 pounds? Who did you fight in 135? There used to be De La Hoya's fights with Trinidad, Sugar Ray, Hearns, and now our fight with Crawford, on July 29 you will see how I cook this lobster (craw-fish - from English lobster)! - retorted Spence, who will enter the ring as an IBF, WBC and WBA champion.
