Lopez says he wants to retire

New WBO super lightweight champion 25-year-old Teofimo Lopez after defeating Josh Taylor announced that he plans to end his professional career. The American spoke about this at a press conference after the fight and later wrote a post about it on his Instagram.

ā€œWhat a relief! I'm leaving at the top. Thank you boxing for the wonderful life you have given me and those I love,ā€ Lopez wrote under his childhood photo with his father and longtime trainer Lopez Sr.
