Lopez says he wants to take Taylor's life

In the next weekend Teofimo Lopez (18-1, 13 KOs) will have a chance to win the championship title in his second weight class when he meets with Josh Taylor (19-0, 13 KOs) and will challenge his WBO welterweight belt. The Brooklyn boxer is known for his poignant and sometimes controversial statements.

“This is a sport where you can kill or be killed. And I want to kill Taylor. When I met Lomachenko, I took his heart away and won. Taylor has no heart, so what can I take away from him? I want to take his life. Boxers are modern day gladiators,” Lopez said in an interview with Punsh Drunk Boxing.
