Lawrence Okoli (19-0, 14 KOs) had dozens, if not hundreds, of sparring rounds with Chris Billam-Smith (17-1, 12 KOs), and on May 27 they will cross gloves with him in an official fight.

The WBO cruiserweight contender has one more trick up his sleeve. In his corner will be Shane McGuigan, who previously coached the champion. Some time later, Okoli came under the wing of Javan Sugar Hill.

“I'm in great shape. They know me, but I also know Chris and his coach very well. This works both ways. I will break it and stop it. I can run a hundred meters and say that I will beat Usain Bolt, but if it was a race, he would still win. This is how I see this fight. He can train as he wants and say what he wants, but in the end I will win, ”Okoli said before the fourth defense of the World Boxing Organization belt.
