Boxing fans will definitely not see an interesting heavyweight fight between Fabio Wardley (16-0, 15 KOs) and Fraser Clark (6-0, 5 KOs).

Wardley was recently ordered by the British Boxing Commission to defend his British title against Clark, but as Eddie Hearn announced today, Ben Shalom has withdrawn his challenger from the championship fight.

As a result, instead of Wardley Clark will meet with Harry Armstrong (5-3-1, 0 KOs). This fight is scheduled for June 10th.

“The reason we pulled out of this fight is because he has only fought 6-round fights so far. We are not going to throw him at the tanks. It's not that he won't beat Wardley, he was ready to beat Wardley in his first pro fight. But we will not engage in a fight that is not in Fraser Clark's interests. He is on the A side here. He is a big name, and he is the one who will fight on the terms that he wants, ”said Ben Shalom.
