Selimov: "Lomachenko will dismantle Haney and take all the titles"

Azerbaijani boxer Albert Selimov shared his thoughts on the fight of the former world champion Vasily Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs) vs. undisputed lightweight champion Devina Haney (29-0, 15 KOs).

It should be noted that Vasily lost his first and only fight in amateur boxing to Selimov.

— I watched fragments [of Haney's fights]. I still bet on Lomachenko. A friend and I bet two hundred grand. He says: "I'm on Haynie." And I'm on Lomachenko.

Lomachenko warrior. He has motivation, he understands that that young guy, many are betting on him. Such moments will motivate Lomachenko.

His father will lead him in, he will find the key to it, take it apart. No matter how they say that he has an age. Lomachenko will take him apart, take all the titles from him. If he wins, then he will probably win someone else. And then, probably, he will retire.

- Whoever wins will have to box with Shakur Stevenson.

- He will also win against him. Lomachenko knows the approach, they need to be beaten, they just need to be broken. Lomachenko knows how to do it right. I think he will figure it out. Although many argue with me that he will not win, we'll see. I think he will win,” Selimov said.

Lomachenko vs Haney will take place on May 20 in Las Vegas.
