Polish promoter Andrzej Wasilewski in an interview with TVP Sport stated that Fedor Cherkashin (22-0, 14 KOs) may have another fight in the summer as part of the evening, the main event of which will be a fight for three heavyweight belts between Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) and Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs).
Preparations for the organization of this event in Poland have been going on for some time, and in recent days, negotiations on this matter have intensified.
“If we manage to have such a big fight in Poland, we will try to put Fedor on the undercard as high as possible,” said the head of KnockOut Promotions.
If an agreement is not reached between the teams of Usyk and Dubois in the coming days, the WBA will set a date for the tender. The Ukrainian, in addition to the belt of the World Boxing Association, also holds the IBF and WBO championship titles.
