British tabloid The Sun reports that the topic of the fight Chris Eubank Jr. (32-3, 23 KOs) and Conor Benna (21-0, 14 KOs) is real again. The sons of British boxing legends were supposed to cross gloves on October 8, but a few dozen hours before the fight, it turned out that Benn had failed a doping test.
Many weeks later, boxing fans heard the explanation - too many eggs in the diet. Conor has been reinstated in the ratings and can again negotiate the terms of the fight. Meanwhile, Eubank Jr. suffered an unexpected defeat from Liam Smith.
The fight is scheduled for June 3 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The fighters are expected to meet at middleweight, despite Benn previously competing in the welterweight division. Contracts have not yet been signed, but negotiations are already underway.
