Today, information was officially confirmed that a fight will take place in Birmingham on May 6 between Joshua Buatsy (16-0, 13 KOs) and Pavel Stepin (18-0-1, 12 KOs).
For the Briton, who is the leader of the WBA light heavyweight ranking and has an Olympic bronze medal, the fight with the undefeated Pole will be his debut under the banner of the promotional organization BOXXER. In March, Stepin was supposed to fight with another Briton, Callum Smith, but he refused the fight, citing an injury.
Buatsi last fought in May last year, winning on points against Craig Richards. The Briton, in addition to the first place in the WBA rating, is included in the ratings of all four major boxing sanctioning organizations.
