Krasyuk: "The comedy is over"

Alexander Krasyuk, promoter Oleksandr Usyk, published a post on social networks about the outcome of negotiations for a duel with Tyson Fury on 29 April London. “Finita la comedia,” wrote Krasyuk, hinting that the negotiations were unsuccessful.

According to columnist Mike Coppinger, the parties could not agree on the division of the fee for the rematch. Oleksandr Usyk reportedly wanted a rematch clause in his contract to fight Tyson Fury, in which the fee section would be 70/30 in his favor if he won. Fury's side required it to be 50/50. The section of the fee for the first fight has already been agreed as 70/30 in favor of Fury.

Also earlier, Frank Warren tried to accuse Usyk's side of being greedy: “Do you know why they need a rematch clause? Because it's two fees. Where will they earn such money as twice for the fight with Tyson? Not against Filip Hrgovic, not against Joe Joyce, or Daniel Dubois. That's why they insist on it so much."

Deontay Wilder's manager Shelly Finkel, commented on the news that the fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk might not take place as follows: "If the fight with Oleksandr Usyk is not organized, Deontay Wilder will accept this challenge in one second."
