Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic commented on the announcement of promotion president Dana White that he will be the next opponent of the newly minted title holder John Jones.
On March 5, Jones easily dealt with Cyril Gan in the first round and won the vacant belt. The fight took place as part of the UFC 285 tournament in Las Vegas.
"Nothing changed. I will train and kick Jones' ass. He showed himself great in the battle with Gan and confidently won. I see myself fighting him in July,” Miocic said.
Recall that Miocic has been idle since March 2021, when he was knocked out by Francis Ngannou in a rematch.
