British promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that the fight for the WBA, WBO, WBC and IBF super lightweight titles between Kathy Taylor (22-0, 6 KOs) and Shantel Cameron (17-0, 8 KOs) will most likely take place on May 20 in Dublin.
The boxer from Ireland will try to win the status of the absolute champion in her second weight category. Taylor holds four lightweight championship belts, but those titles will not be at stake in the upcoming bout.
Taylor was originally supposed to have a rematch with Serrano in May. But the world champion in seven weight categories from Puerto Rico was injured, and their second fight was postponed to the fall.
