According to ESPN, representatives Josh Taylor (19-0, 13 KOs) and Teofimo Lopez (18-1, 13 KOs) are close to signing a contract to fight on June 10 in New York at the famous Madison Square Garden arena, which can accommodate more than 20,000 fans. The boxers allegedly have already agreed on all key issues.
Lopez was the king of lightweight, but after an unexpected loss to George Cambosos, he moved up to junior welterweight (63.5 kg) and scored two victories. Here, until recently, all the belts belonged to Taylor, but, having refused mandatory defenses, he has already lost three of the four titles and retained only the WBO belt.
