Davis to be sentenced on May 5

Gervonta Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) pleaded guilty in a case in which he is accused of causing a car accident and hiding without helping the victims. The incident took place in November 2020.

The American will be sentenced on May 5, which means that the case will not affect his scheduled April 15 fight with Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs). The duel has not yet been officially confirmed, but the contracts supposedly should be signed in the coming days.

Davis will appear in court again at the end of February. This time, the American will be charged with domestic violence, which he allegedly committed in December. Davis was arrested in this case, but this time he pleaded not guilty.
