Ortis-Stanionis officially April 29

Fight for WBA regular welterweight belt between Virgil Ortiz (19-0, 19 KOs) and Eimantas Stanionis (14-0, 9 KOs) will officially take place on April 29 in Arlington.

Previously, this meeting was supposed to take place in mid-March, but Stanionios was hospitalized with appendicitis and the date was postponed. The promotional bid for this duel was won by Golden Boy Promotions with a $2.3 million bid.

The Lithuanian will earn $1.7 million for this fight. Ortiz will be paid $575,000 of the total winning bid. The evening itself will be broadcast on the DAZN streaming service.
