Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) admitted that his behavior immediately after the rematch with Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) was incorrect and apologized to the Ukrainian. Then, after the fight, the Englishman grabbed the microphone and began a long and very strange monologue. Emotions took over, but the most important thing is that after a while AJ admitted his mistake.

“No one is perfect, and neither am I, and I was wrong then. After that, I did not personally speak with Usyk, but spoke with Wladimir Klitschko, with whom I am in touch, and to him: "Pat Usyk on the shoulder and apologize for me." But I was very close to a successful rematch that would open the way for me to fight Fury for all the belts. Therefore, when, during the announcement of the winner, I heard Usyk's name, and not mine, I could not restrain myself. Emotions were seething in me, ”Joshua explained his behavior.

The Englishman will return on April 1 against Jermain Franklin (21-1, 14 KOs) with a new coach.
