WBC President: 'Beterbiev's next opponent will be Smith'

WBC President Mauricio Suleiman announced that Artur Beterbiev's next opponent will be Callum Smith, the mandatory contender for the WBC world title belt owned by Arthur.

“Beterbiev is one of the best champions of our time, the best light heavyweight. This was his toughest fight ever (Anthony Yarde fight - note) and he will need some rest. His next opponent is WBC mandatory challenger Callum Smith,” said the functionary.

Recall that this morning Beterbiev won by TKO in the eighth round against Anthony Yarde.
