Jarrell Miller (25-0-1, 21 KOs) returned from a doping ban with two wins, and gave a clear signal to his promoter to get him a fight with Joshua. Miller was supposed to be a contender Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) in June 2019 and fight for three heavyweight belts. However, a few weeks before the fight, he was caught using illegal drugs three times, losing the main opportunity of his entire career and millions of dollars. Andy Ruiz took his place and unexpectedly became the new champion.

Dimitri Salita, Miller's promoter, is on good terms with Eddie Hearn, best evidenced by the fact that his promoter Jermaine Franklin (21-1, 14 KOs) is a prime candidate to fight Joshua on April 1st.

“Jarrell is now ready to do anything to catch up. He called me last week and said: “I am ready to take less money for the fight with Joshua. Give them to him." It will be interesting to see how he can fight the best fighters. I know that Eddie Hearn doesn't really want to hear about Jarrell at the moment, but if he wins fights and passes more drug tests, everything can change, ”Salita is convinced.

“Doping is unacceptable, but Jarrell paid dearly for his mistakes. He has not fought in serious fights since 2018, he may have missed the best years of his career, but he is aware of the missed opportunity and has changed. I hope that he will have a chance for redemption. His personality and boxing skills will add even more excitement to the heavyweight division,” added Salita.
