Haney-Lomachenko could take place outside the US

Bob Arum announced that the fight for the title of undisputed lightweight champion between Devin Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) and Vasily Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs) may take place in one of the Arab countries. The fight is tentatively scheduled for May 20.

Top Rank is negotiating with potential hosts of the fight in the weight category up to 61 kg. You can still organize a fight in the USA in Las Vegas. A decision on this issue should be made in the near future.

A few weeks ago, Arum, the promoter of both fighters, announced that the financial terms of this fight had been agreed. The IBF, WBA, WBO and WBC American titles will be at stake in the meeting. Arum also previously stated that it would not be possible to hold this fight on May 20 in New York due to a conflict with NBA and NHL games.
