George Kambosos Jr. (20-2, 10 KOs) refused to fight with Shakur Stevenson, because after two defeats in a row, he did not want to take much risks, but he is preparing to return to the ring with another opponent.

After an unexpected victory over Teofimo Lopez the Australian became the lightweight king with IBF, WBA and WBO belts in his collection. But then lost them Devin Haney in the next battle.

“I am in a good position and want to return as soon as possible. So I will box at the end of April or beginning of May. My dad got in touch with promoter Lou DiBella and it looks like I could go back to Sydney, although Las Vegas is also an option. I still have a big name in boxing,” Kambosos said.
