Eddie Hearn announced that the rematch scheduled for September between Saul Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) and Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs) will take place in the second middle weight limit. WBA, WBO, WBC and IBF championship titles will be at stake.
Boxers crossed their gloves for the first time in May. Bivol won by unanimous decision, and the WBA light heavyweight title was at stake in the duel.
Alvarez is expected to return to the gym shortly after surgery on his left arm. His first performance this year is scheduled for May. Then the Mexican must make his debut in front of the British public and fight John Ryder in London. Both events will be shown on the DAZN streaming service.
