According to promoter Bob Arum, Devin Haney fight with Vasily Lomachenko for the title of undisputed lightweight champion and the parties "essentially agreed" on this fight. If Haney beats Lomachenko, he plans to move up to super lightweight and have a non-title fight with star Teofimo Lopez.
"We are looking for a location and a date and they will be announced shortly," Bob Arum said in an interview with Sky Sports. — I had lunch with Bill Haney, Devin's father and Devin joined us. They are ready. They are nice people. This fight will take place either before Ramadan or immediately after it. Because Devin is a religious Muslim, and therefore we cannot arrange a fight during Ramadan, but we can arrange before or after. So I discussed all this with Haney."
“Regis Prograis is one of the possible fights for Lopez. Teofimo has other options. One of them is to have one more fight, and if Haney beats Lomachenko, have Haney fight Teofimo in a non-title fight. This will be a big fight. So there are a lot of options for these guys,” added Arum.
