After a successful 2022 Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs) is looking forward to next year and his priority is to fully unify light heavyweight with Artur Beterbiev (18-0, 18 KOs).

Theoretically, the Russian is guaranteed a rematch with Canelo, whom he beat on points in May. But more than about Saule Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs), he thinks about confronting his compatriot living in Canada. Bivol is the WBA champion, and the WBC, IBF and WBO belts belong to Beterbiev.

“I want to become the undisputed light heavyweight champion of the world. The fight with Beterbiev for the remaining titles is my goal and priority. In any case, we both want it, it will be a great fight, ”says Bivol.

Canelo intends to fight an easier opponent in May in order to get a rematch with Bivol in September. Perhaps boxing fans will still see them in the same ring, but so far Bivol is more focused on Beterbiev.
