WBO world welterweight champion Terence Crawford said that he wants to fight for the title of the undisputed champion in his weight category with a compatriot Errol Spence in London.
Terence believes that boxing is much more popular in the UK than in the US, but also admitted that he would not mind fighting Spence in Saudi Arabia.
“In Saudi Arabia everyone wants to fight because the Saudis want to give you big money up front. But, if we compare the United States and Great Britain, then in Britain football comes first, and boxing is in second place. If you ask a fan in the USA, he will first choose the NFL, NBA, baseball and, only then, maybe boxing. Boxing is far from the first sport supported in the US,” Crawford said on the Tha Boxing Voice podcast.
Recall that Terence next fight will be against the Russian David Avanesyan. The rivals will share the ring on December 10 in Omaha, Nebraska, USA.
