WBA super featherweight champion Hector Luis Garcia (16-0, 10 KOs) will face Gervonta Davis (27-0, 25 KOs) at Premier Boxing Champions January 7 in Washington, DC.
The fight will take place in the light weight category, which means that the title belonging to the boxer from the Dominican Republic will not be at stake. In his last fights, Garcia defeated Chris Colbert and Roger Gutierrez.
For Davis, this will be an "interim" fight before the scheduled April 15 mega fight with Ryan Garcia. "Tank" last boxed in May.
