TGB Promotions Wins Bid for Matthias-Ponce Fight

Promotion organization TGB Promotions has won the bidding for the fight for the vacant IBF super lightweight title between Subriel Matias (18-1, 18 KOs) and Jeremias Ponce (30-0, 20 KOs). The winning bid was $510,000.

The amount will be divided 50/50. Both boxers will earn $255,000 each for this fight. The fight must take place in the United States no later than February 13th.

Previously, this title belonged to Josh Taylor, but the Scot left it vacant, refusing to hold a mandatory defense. For Matthias and Ponce, this will be the first opportunity to become champions in their professional careers.
